RACUS® and F.E.S-Board® innovative solutions use the latest generation of microencapsulated vegetable based phase change material to provide comfort cooling without the use of high energy consuming air conditioning.

Unlike alternative petroleum / paraffin wax based PCMs, vegetable based phase change materials provide a greater latent heat storage performance and greater environmental benefits. By completing a phase transition between solid and liquid they can absorb large quantities of latent heat to help maintain a comfortable occupied environment.

The demand for air conditioning in buildings worldwide is growing rapidly in response to increased building use and demands for comfort cooling by occupants. Consequently the energy consumed by air conditioning systems is expected to double from current levels by 2020 which already accounts for over 30% of a buildings total energy use.
